Going somewhere new can be a little scary, especially when you’re in a tough situation.
We get it. That’s why we’re giving you an insider preview of what you can expect at your first appointment.
You can expect confidentiality, no judgement, kind staff, and personalized care.
Here’s how it goes…
When you walk through our doors you will be greeted by our receptionist. She will get you started on your intake paperwork, and make a copy of your photo I.D. (drivers license, school I.D., passport, etc.)
Then your client advocate will come out to meet you and take you back for your appointment. Your client advocate is trained to help women navigate unplanned pregnancy and sexual health. She will start by reviewing your situation with you, and will stay by your side every step of the way. Her job is to support you and advocate for you.
Next, you will take a pregnancy test. You may meet with a nurse who will assess your health history and answer any questions you may have. If you are at risk for an STD she may perform an STD test. If you are pregnant she may recommend an ultrasound to further understand your situation and options.
All ultrasounds are performed by trained RDMS’ (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). They will check for gestational age and viability of your pregnancy.
At the end of your appointment your client advocate will review your options of parenting, abortion, and adoption. She will answer any of your questions.
We don’t mean to brag, but our staff is the best! Our receptionists, client advocates, nurses and ultrasound techs are all here because they truly care about women. We care because we’ve been there.
