Providing clarity and control to women considering abortion.

What To Do Before Abortion

Pregnancy may not have been in your plans. Before you make an abortion decision you deserve to know all the facts about your health, and whether abortion is suitable for your situation. Get a free pre-abortion screening and tests from one of our medical professionals. At North Care, we’re not an abortion provider, but we will provide you with the information you need to make a fully informed choice.

Pregnancy Testing

We offer laboratory-quality, highly accurate urine and blood pregnancy tests performed by a medical professional to verify your pregnancy or confirm a positive home test. Our tests can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. You may schedule an appointment for a free pregnancy test as early as the first day you miss your period. Test results are confidential.

Ultrasounds

Once you have a positive pregnancy test, you may have the option to receive a free ultrasound. An ultrasound determines pregnancy viability and gestational age (how far along you are in your pregnancy). A sonographer can perform an ultrasound exam when you are 6 weeks from your last period. Afterward, our Supervising Physician will review your ultrasound results.

STD Testing

STD testing is available free of charge for chlamydia and gonorrhea (males and females) and trichomoniasis and BV (females). Chlamydia and gonorrhea are the two most common bacterial STDs and can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) if left untreated. Treatment is available if you test positive.

Medical Diagnosis

Getting clarity can bring control to an unexpected situation. Many women prefer to have a medical professional perform their pregnancy test and discuss the results with them. Our team will confirm if you are really pregnant and how far along you are.
